Dr. Catherine Michon obtained her Doctor of Optometry (O.D.)
degree from the University of Montreal in 2009. After completing
her education, she attended a three-month clinical internship in
Portsmouth, Virginia, at the reputable Dr. Cornetta and Associates
Clinic. While in Portsmouth, Dr. Michon trained in providing
comprehensive eye care, managing and treating ocular
pathologies including glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy and age-related macular degeneration, as
well as perioperative care for
laser vision correction and cataract surgery.
With 13 years of experience and accreditation in prescribing
therapeutic drugs, Dr. Michon brings a wealth of knowledge and
professionalism to I See Optometry.
Dr. Michon is an active member of the Ontario Association of
Optometrists, the Ottawa Society of Optometrists, and the
Canadian Association of Optometrists. She has also volunteered
with the Canadian National Institute for the Blind and the Saint-Vincent Hospital.
Originally from Ottawa, Dr. Michon has spent most of her career in
Montreal. She is happy to be home in the Capital and to pursue
her career in her hometown. She provides care in both English
When not in the clinic, Dr. Michon stays active by playing
basketball or cycling. She also loves to watch movies and head
out for a weekend of camping.
